Johannes Gutenberg Wasn’t Really Johannes Gutenberg?

Posted by Sherry Lee • September 29, 2015

Did you know most of Johannes Gutenberg’s personal life is a mystery? His life has sketchy details. We know where he was born — Mainz, Germany — but not the year. Many think it was around 1398, but there are no exact records. His birth name was Johannes Gensfleisch zur Laden. His surname, Gutenberg, was taken from the house his father lived in, zur Gutenberg. Not much is known about him, other than the fact he was “engaged” once, but he broke the marriage contract. No one knows why, but it is recorded in court records that the mother of his betrothed sued him for breach of the marriage contract. There is no record of the result of the lawsuit.

So I have created a plausible reason for a man to break a marriage contract: an incredibly beautiful, sexy, intelligent woman from the future who rocked his world: in many, many ways, as only a “modern” woman could do! Read the adventure: Mysterious Ways.
