Have you ever read Shakespeare’s sonnets? I’m sure you are familiar with many of the phrases he used; the famous lines of love and adoration, such as this Shakespeare quote, “shall I compare thee to a summer’s day?” But did you know this sonnet was written about a young man? Holy Cow, right!?
I have attached a picture of the young man it is believed that sonnet was written for! This is a portrait of the Earl of Southampton.
